Dose Dot Privacy Policy

Dose Dot is built on one principle: your shots, your weight, and your refills are yours, and they stay on your iPhone. We have no server that stores them. Dose Dot has no network connection of its own at all — it never uploads, syncs, or phones home. We can’t sell what we don’t have.

This policy covers the Dose Dot iOS app only. The Alibee LLC website has its own separate privacy policy, and our other apps have theirs.

Who we are

What data we collect — and where it lives

Data you enter

Everything you type or tap into Dose Dot is stored only on your device, using Apple’s SwiftData framework in the app’s private container. That includes:

• each shot you log — the date and time, which side of the body, the exact spot you tapped on the body map, the named region Dose Dot derives from it (“left abdomen,” for example), and any note you write;
• the medicine and dose you attach to a shot — chosen from the built-in list, or a name and dose you type yourself;
• your weigh-ins, and the unit you prefer to see them in;
• each box of medicine you record — the date, how many doses it holds, and how many refills you have left;
• your reminder settings — how many days between shots, your preferred time of day, a day you hand-picked for the next reminder, and whether shot and refill reminders are on;
• your appearance preference, and the medicine and dose the app pre-fills for your next log.

None of it leaves your phone unless you choose to export, share, copy, or import it — each described below. There is no upload, no sync, and no backup to us.

What Dose Dot does not use

Dose Dot does not read or write Apple Health. It does not ask for your location. It has no camera or microphone access, no contacts access, and no on-device or cloud AI model — the body map, the supply count, and the weight chart are drawn from your own records with plain arithmetic. It has no network client: the app contains no code that makes a request to any server, ours or anyone else’s.

No account required

Dose Dot has no sign-up, no login, and no email address. We have no way to identify you, and no profile of you exists anywhere but on your phone.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled locally on your device by iOS. There are no push notifications — Dose Dot has no server to send them and never registers for them. A shot reminder says only that you asked to be reminded on your chosen cadence, or on the day you picked; a refill reminder says only that your supply is running low. Reminder text never names your medicine, your dose, or your weight. The refill reminder’s “Ordered” and “Remind me tomorrow” buttons are handled on your phone and stored as ordinary preferences. Notification permission is requested only if you turn a reminder on, and every feature works if you decline.

Analytics and crash reporting

Dose Dot contains no third-party analytics, advertising, attribution, or crash-reporting SDKs — none at all. It has no third-party dependencies whatsoever. It does not use the advertising identifier and never asks to track you.

If you have turned on “Share With App Developers” in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements, Apple may share anonymized, aggregated crash and usage reports with us through App Store Connect. That sharing is controlled entirely by Apple and by that setting, never identifies you, and can be turned off at any time.

The App Store review prompt

After your first log, Dose Dot may ask iOS to show Apple’s standard “rate this app” prompt, at most once. That prompt is Apple’s: whether it appears, and any rating you give, is handled by the App Store under Apple’s terms. Dose Dot only remembers, on your device, that it has already asked.

What we do not collect

• We do not transmit your shots, body locations, weight, refills, or settings to any server — ours or anyone’s.
• We do not use advertising networks, and we never sell your data or share it with data brokers.
• We do not build advertising or marketing profiles of you.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites.
• We do not sync anything to iCloud.
• We never recommend a dose, a medicine, an injection site, or a schedule. Dose Dot records what you tell it and describes it back to you.

The only things about you that ever leave your device are whatever you deliberately export, share, or copy — described next.

Export, share, copy, import, and delete

Export. You choose when anything leaves. Dose Dot can produce:

• a Dose Dot backup from Settings — a single JSON file containing your shots, weigh-ins, refills, and settings, for moving to a new phone or keeping a copy;
• CSV files from Settings — your shots, your weigh-ins, and your refills as plain spreadsheets;
• from the Weight tab, a share-ready chart image in feed or story size, a one-page PDF of the graph, or the CSV behind the selected range. The chart image and the PDF show your weigh-ins with the medicine and dose in effect at the time, so think about where you send them.

Every export is written into Dose Dot’s own temporary storage and then handed to the iOS share sheet, where you decide the destination. Dose Dot never uploads an export anywhere. Anything you’ve already saved or sent lives wherever you put it.

Copy. The Weight tab can place the chart image on your clipboard. If you use Apple’s Universal Clipboard, iOS may make that clipboard available on your other Apple devices under your Apple Account; that is Apple’s system, under your control, and Dose Dot is not involved beyond the copy itself.

Import. You can import a file from Settings: a Dose Dot backup, or an export from the Shotsy app in its JSON or CSV format. Dose Dot reads the file you pick on your device, shows you what it found, and only writes anything after you confirm — either adding to your records or replacing them. Importing never sends the file anywhere. From a Shotsy export, Dose Dot keeps shots (date, site, medicine, and dose), weigh-ins, and shot notes; it does not import side effects, symptom scores, or daily notes, because it has no place to keep them.

Delete. Settings → “Delete all data” removes every record Dose Dot keeps — your shots, weigh-ins, refills, notes, reminder settings, and preferences — and cancels your scheduled reminders. Because everything lives on your device, deletion is immediate and permanent: we have no copy to delete on our end. Files you already exported or shared are unaffected. Deleting the app removes everything on the device outright.

Your device’s own backups

Dose Dot’s database lives in the app’s private container on your iPhone, so it is included in your device’s own encrypted backups — iCloud Backup, or a backup to your computer — under your Apple Account and your control. That is Apple’s system backing up your phone, not a copy to us: we cannot read it, and restoring it is yours to do. You can manage what your device backs up in iOS Settings.

Children’s privacy

Dose Dot is designed for adults (18+) using a medicine prescribed to them. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 — and, as described above, we do not collect data from anyone at all.

Not medical advice

Dose Dot is a personal record, not a medical device, and not a substitute for a clinician. It does not diagnose anything and never recommends a dose, a medicine, an injection site, or a treatment schedule. Questions about your prescription belong with your prescriber.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and policy version above and note the change in the app’s release notes. Continued use of Dose Dot after a policy update constitutes acceptance.
